The Poet’s Corner Collective is a group of artists set up to collaborate for the Tucson Pima County Arts Council’s Open Studio Tour, November 9 and 10, 2013. The tour ran from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The tour is always the second weekend in November.

Many of the artists in the group have shown together before as Maiden Arizona Artists. For 2013 the group has decided to use a name that reflects the part of town the group is showing in — historic Poet’s Corner. This is an area just east of Alvernon and north of Broadway, featuring streets named after poets and writers, such as (Edgar Allen) Poe, (Washington) Irving and (Henry Wadsworth) Longfellow.

We hope you checked out the Open Studio Tour Preview Show at the Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road , Tucson, AZ. The show opened October 18 and ended with a reception, open to the public, on Thursday, November 7, at 5:30 p.m.
